Oak Lake is the largest of the three original lakes at Woodlands spanning approximately an acre. Constructed in 1989 by damming the stream that runs through the middle of the fishery, it began life as a trout lake before being transformed some years later into a thriving coarse fishery. This was the main match lake until the completion of an expansion programme in 2004 when the two new Ash and Hawthorn match lakes were excavated.
Oak has a total of 16 pegs (three disabled) and a max depth of 8ft. It has the largest variety with 16 different species known to be lurking in the depths. Oak holds plenty of carp averaging 3-7Lb (up to 15Lb), Roach, Rudd, Skimmers, Tench, Gudgeon, Brown Bream & Perch just to name a few!
